Japan-based punk/ska/rockabilly label, Rude Runner Records, has announced the release of “Punkabilly Shakes The World” on March 11th, 2012.
The compilation features tracks from Japanese bands like Robin, Swing Kids, Dice for Lights and Kogarashi, as well as the well known Banane Metalik, The Creepshow, Koffin Kats, The Peacocks and many more. There will be 22 tracks in all.
It has been stated that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this album will go to the Tohoku Live House Daisakuen, which is a live venue that suffered extensive damage during the recent tsunami.
